How open am I to God’s plan?

This is the question I’ve been pondering this week as part of my daily meditations. Interesting question, isn’t it? I often think about following God’s will but I never take it the next step by asking how open I am to it. Here are some of the questions I pondered each day this week. Take some time to answer them for yourself. It definitely kicks your butt.

Am I pursuing the perishable wreath of this life more earnestly than I am the imperishable wreath of eternal life? How do I justify this?

What is my chief goal right now? What is the chief sacrifice I am making to reach it? What is my motivation?

Am I ready to hand God a blank check and have Him fill it out for me?

I’ve found that the idea of totally letting go is so counterintuitive in the world we’re in. It is hard to relinquish control to the unknown.
