I apologize for the lack of posts recently. For the past week I have been pretty busy traveling and having visitors, so my time for blogging has dwindled significantly. I have missed sharing the small things with you, but hopefully I will have more time in the next few days to get back on track.
Here are the small things from the past week.
1. Talking to a 65 year old man on the train from South Bend to Chicago and sharing lunch as well as a stroll through the city with him. (Looking back this might not have been a good life choice, but he was a nice man and I’m alive.)
2. Driving to Wichita with 3 of my best girls, and then singing at a good friend’s wedding with some fabulous singers. Oh, and witnessing that good friend start a new life with a wonderful lady!
3. Eating pizza at my grandma’s house, like we always do when we visit, as well as playing truth or truth before going to bed and my big strong brother attacking a june bug for us.
4. Riding in a car listening to good tunes and admiring the scenery along I-70 with good friends.
5. Lighting a candle at the grotto on campus and eating at the on campus bar.
6. THE STUDEBAKER MUSEUM! Mostly the Italian sports cars…
7. Buying a purple belt for less than $3.
8. Courtney guessing ‘Leg warmers’ from the clues textile and hot.
9. Climbing a 260 foot sand dune, feeling the breeze and listening to the waves crash from the top, and then watching Courtney and Laura run down it. “It’s like a dream come true!!!!”
10. Carefree timelessness with friends…love it.
My quick visit to Kansas and the fun few days with friends has reminded me that I have some wonderful people in my life. There is much to be enjoyed in each day and I’m so thankful for the opportunities to share moments with those I love.

The story was while we were walking down the dune this guy ran past us yelling, “It’s like a dream come true!”
It was funny.

I have a small thing that is happening in the near future…a family get togther to celebrate the very soon arrival of Baby Sandusky. I am looking forward to seeing eveyone and enjoying several hours of much needed family time. 5 days and counting….

Leg warmers… ha! That was pretty good.
My feet still hurt from that sand dune, but it really was like a “dream come true.” Although the best park was, not the actual running, but the video of us running down the dune. AH-MAZ-ING.
“I’m so reflective, I’m like a freakin’ mirror.”
Oh, and not burning down your apartment building while trying to fry chinese food.
