Yesterday’s small thing: a small celebration

Two years ago Jonathan and I were joined in Holy Matrimony.

Two years ago we dressed up, took pictures, and danced till we dropped.

Two years ago my life changed.

Last night we celebrated our anniversary with a nice quiet dinner at home.

I made lasagna for the first time.

We shared some bubbly (of the sparkling grapes)

and we enjoyed some delicious homemade milkshakes.

After our dinner we played Jonathan’s new game Alhambra and then settled in for an in-home theater showing of Batman Begins.

I am so thankful for what the past two years has brought for us. Being married to Jonathan has opened my eyes to many new experiences, trials, and I’ve learned so much about myself. I am so thankful for our relationship and hope that as our family grows we can still love each other this much.

Forever is for real. And I’m excited about it.

How do you like to celebrate big events?
