Yesterday’s small thing: ND’s back to school picnic

Being linked to the University of Notre Dame bas been really enjoyable over the past few years. I love the welcome back picnic because it means lots of free food! The university hosts an all school mass (the population is around 10,000 some students) and after provides dinner for all students, staff, and their families.

The whole event is a well-oiled machine and it is fabulous. It was so neat to see so many people being served by the university. Plus there was an ice cream truck full of delicious goodies.

Jonathan and I enjoyed a mini photo shoot, mostly because I wanted to show off the growing belly 🙂

Another school year begins!

I get to start school tomorrow. I’m not teaching full time this year so I can be with baby, but I am substituting at my school until he comes. I will be subbing for the first two days as the science teacher. She is on maternity leave and they are still looking for her long term sub. So technically I’m a sub for a sub! It will be an interesting way to start a school year.

How has your ‘school year’ started off?

so glad to hear you are semi employed, that will make October get here much quicker. We are doing pretty well, for the shape we are in! this summer has been a bummer but has gone by so fast anyway, we have been so busy with doctor appointments don’t have time to realize the summer is almost over, Oct will be here before you know it! Love you all, Grandma and Papa
