small pieces of joy

pieces of joy in each day

today’s small thing: small business

In honor of Small Business Saturday, we decided to head downtown and visit some of the little shops to begin our Christmas shopping. Of course we decide to go outside on the coldest day so far this fall, so we had to get George all bundled up for the journey.

We met our friends at the home brewery store and spent some time looking at beer and wine making materials. Then we went to a few other shops around downtown. We strolled along in freezing weather dodging snowflakes. It was cold but really nice to be out and about on a Saturday.

It felt good to support the small businesses in our city and end the outing with a nice cup of hot chocolate!

We then went home and enjoyed a relaxing day watching movies and getting ready for the Notre Dame game. George decided to support Notre Dame today. Hopefully he’ll be more of a good luck charm for them than he was for KSU last week.

It was a good day.

What did you do today?
