Today’s small thing:  visiting the Studebaker Museum

George loves cars. So when we got the invitation to join our friend Sarah and her brother, we couldn’t pass it up! I had been to the museum once before but never with George.

The Studebaker family was a strong influence in the South Bend community, especially its car factories. It was fun to show George a little history, even though all he cared about was the shiny cars!

The place was decorated very nicely for Christmas, and one car in particular. George was enamored with it from the start, so we had to get some photos with him in the car. I loved trying to get a good picture.

I let him loose in the museum and he was chatting up a storm. I have no idea what he was saying, but it was fun to hear his excitement.

It was great bonding time for George and his English friends. He loves Sarah and Joe!

As we finished exploring the museum we found a kid area and knew George had to have a look.

He tried hard to help with fixing the car, but all he really wanted to do was to carry around antifreeze and play with tires.

The little guy was tired out after all the walking and playing. It was so nice to get out of the house on a cold day and enjoy some quality time together. George really brings so much joy to every situation.

For that I am truly thankful.

What a neat place! History can be taught at any age, and it looked like George had fun that day. He is lucky to have such a wonderful mom.
